The Challenge

The existing hardwired door entry system at the Network Homes sites had started to fail.
Repair costs and reactive call-outs were rising significantly, and access for residents and contractors had become inefficient.

The properties included over 160 flats, some of which were short-term residencies used by NHS on-call staff, making downtime and access disruption a major concern.

The Solution

IP Door Entry delivered a hybrid wireless system powered by IPGUARD® 4G/IP/GSM technology, creating a flexible, sustainable, and future-proof alternative to hardwired systems.

How It Works

For the short-term NHS accommodation, dedicated Wi-Fi-enabled tablets were installed as in-flat monitors.

  • Only the IPGUARD® App is accessible for security and simplicity.
  • Tablets connect to Wi-Fi and plug directly into a wall socket, no re-cabling required.

    This provides anti-clone protection, preventing unauthorised duplication and maintaining complete control of site access.

Remote Management with BATICONNECT®

The BATICONNECT® Cloud Platform provides 24/7/365 real-time management and visibility for administrators:
